Green Building by Design, Inc. is in the business of designing and building custom homes in California. We are a growing small firm, and we are looking for an individual to help us with design and drafting. 

Requirements:

• This position is fully remote; therefore, the applicant must have a workspace, strong internet connection, and equipment that includes a computer and monitors to be productive using design software.
• High English proficiency is required: C1 preferred, B2 considered.
• Very high attention to detail to correctly assign linework, the meaning of annotations, and clarity of information on sheet to avoid superimposing text and graphics.

Design and Drafting Assistance:

The tasks to be performed include:

• Use computer aided design software to design walls, windows, doors, openings, roofs, and other architectural objects in 3D.
• Annotate plan specifications in English. The set of plans includes Site Plan, Floor Plans, Roof Plan, Demolition Plans, Elevations, Sections, Electrical Plans, Reflected Ceiling Plans, and Interior Elevations.  The information to annotate includes spot elevations, site objects, dimensions, finishes, code other specifications, and design calculations that include crawl space and attic space requirements.
• Update drawings based on red markups.
• Ability to read Plan Check Corrections lists and provide answers.
• Obtain material takeoff quantities for construction estimates.

Initially this position will be part time per project to demonstrate ability and eventually will result in a full time position for the right candidate.
